Kristian Huitula (Tampere, Finland) is one of the very few official Moomin illustrators who have drawn the Moomins after Jansson's passing in 2001. Kristian illustrated Moomins until 2012, after which Moomin publications have reused mostly Jansson's original artwork.
Kristian Huitula is an award-winning Finnish graphic novel artist and illustrator, best known for his graphic novel adaptation of Kalevala, the national epic of Finland.
Moomin ORIGINAL ART available!
In 2025, Kristian Huitula's original Moomin artwork became available for purchase for the first time. Each piece of artwork has been officially published in Moomin publications by Egmont, and approved by Moomin Characters Oy Ltd., and Sophia Jansson, the steward of the Moomin legacy.

When purchasing an original piece, a certificate of authenticity will be included, issued by the artist and referencing the original Moomin publication in which the artwork appeared. Also includes the original publication!

The sizes are mosty A4 (29,7 x 21,0 cm), ink on paper, the prizes depend on the size, the amount of details and characters of the piece.

ムーミンは、フィンランドの作家トーベ・ヤンソンによって生み出された、フィンランドで最も象徴的な架空のキャラクターの一つで、何十年にもわたり世界中の人々を魅了してきました。この愛されるトロールたちは、本、アニメーションシリーズ、そして幅広い商品を通じて国際的な名声を得ています。特に、アラビア社が制作したムーミンをテーマにした磁器のマグカップは、非常に人気のあるコレクターズアイテムとなっています。1986年には、ヤンソンのすべてのオリジナルムーミンのイラストが、タンペレにあるムーミン美術館に寄贈されました。
フィンランド・タンペレ出身のクリスティアン・フイトゥラは、2001年のヤンソンの死後、ムーミンを描いた数少ない公式ムーミンイラストレーターの一人です。クリスティアンは2012年までムーミンを描き、その後、多くのムーミン出版物ではヤンソンのオリジナルアートが再利用されています。
クリスティアン・フイトゥラは、特にフィンランドの国民的叙事詩『カレワラ』のグラフィックノベル版で名を馳せた、受賞歴のあるフィンランドの漫画家です。
